Blue Heron
After school I took the kids to the local park to feed the ducks some stale break. I got lucky and caught a Great Blue Heron. Of course these shots are not as vivid as I'd like, but getting a bird to hold still is a trick in its self. I tried to sneak up on him...

Poppies *said like the Wicked Witch*
Thought I'd maybe start adding where I'm taking these pics. This one was taken out in front of my bank. I had just paid off our credit card bill, thanks to our tax return. No blowing it on something-anything. Feels good. I feel like a real grown up, lol.

For Poodles
I know Poodles uses a Pansy for her avatar. But, I *didn't* know, until just until a couple years ago, that it was the symbol for freethinkers. Even more funny, I somehow acquired myself a yellow pansy pin, and I can't even remember who gave it to me. It makes me wonder if it was just bought because it was pretty, or with the symbolism in mind.
